Hiking trip to Bukit Berekeh

This trip was last January actually.

Baru sekarang ada masa nak update sikit. 

Plan tiba-tiba... Hari Isnin-Selasa plan, then ada yang nak join terus arrange untuk naik Bukit Berekeh the next Monday morning. 

This is my first time (dan juga first time for a couple of my friends too) untuk mendaki bukit waktu gelap 3 pagi. So macam excited gakla nak beli headlamp lah, nak beli makanan to eat up on the peak etc.

Kitorang book guide under Ayie but he was not available waktu tu. Boleh pulak dia ingat tarikh lain. Then kitorang diganti dengan Zack. Kos RM25 seorang. 

Ahad 29/1/2023 kami check in homestay di Sg Siput. Sempat rehat, beli barang kat TF and tido jap... Then puku1 1 pagi siap-siap nak keluar. Jumpa Zack dekat depan IPD Sg Siput, and he was late. Janji pukul 2 pagi, but he arrived 2.30 am. Anyway, I was the one driving cos pakai kereta aku (serena leh sumbat ramai) so follow la si Zack ke tempat nak naik bukit tu.

Tiba di Orang Asli One Stop Centre (OAOSC) Bawong pada 2.48am, daftar and ke toilet bagai, park kat situ 3.22am. Then we walked to the foothill dalam 8 minit. Start naik 3.30 am.

Haa accurate kan masa aku? Cos aku check balik history kat Google Map hahaha

Ni lepas naik puncak pertama yang paling pacak.

Macam kami yang selalu naik Bukit Engku Busu kt Lumut ni, well... bukit first ni seksa dia macam engku busu la. Kalau dah biase, takde ape sangat la. Tapi heart rate memang tinggi time 1st peak ni haha

Tapi lepas-lepas tu dah senang dah.

Sampai puncak pukul 5.30 am.

Ni bagi aku, Kak Feeza & Ain. 

Kami bertiga kat depan hehe...

The other three smpai 5.36am.

Kat puncak dah ada orang sampai before us and those guys were sleeping.

Oklah for me the trail isn't that hard pun. 
Cuma jauh jela nak sampai, turun naik bukit botak.

And it was so frickin windy!

Untuk reference bagi Manjung hiker:
Kalau Bukit 300 kite amik masa lebih kurang 1 jam (usually 45-55 mins average) untuk sampai puncak, Bukit Berekeh lak 2 jam nak sampai puncak.

Ikut pace orang gakla. Kami pace biase-biase. Tak laju sangat, and takla lembab sangat.

Ok je...

Tahap kesusahan, biasa je kot. Newbie bole punye.

1st peak je susah and kena memanjat macam Bukit Engku Busu.

Yang solat Subuh 3 orang je. I was on my period. Dahla tengah heavy flow jugak, jenuh... nasib baik before naik dah tukar kat OAOSC tu (toilet dia bersih), turun pun awal.. kami blah pukul 7.30 pagi kalau tak silap.

Of course sepanjang jalan nak turun, asyik ambik gambo hehe... siap plan next trip pulak. Udah gile nak hiking mak-mak ni >_<

We arrived at the parking lot of OAOSC tu before 10am lagi... 

Around 9.40am la kalau tak silap

White water rafting with the family

Wow, it's been a while since I posted anything on this blog.

Do people still blog? HAHA

Anyway, still... want to update this blog with what we did yesterday. 

There were backlogs of events I would like to write about in this blog but those will have to wait.

This one kena catat dulu cos it happened yesterday!

Update blog pun dengan pantas. Almaklum, dah 4 orang anak. Busy gile...

Yeah, kami amik pakej white water rafting dengan Gua Tempurung Extreme cos ada promo price RM90/pax inclusive lunch. Razzan free cos he's 3 years old (nak masuk 4yo cos born in April, 2019)

There were 5 of us yang kena bayar so RM450 in total.

Joined another family. 

So there were 2 rafts.

Meeting point was at Gua Tempurung.

Then naik lori masuk kampung, pergi tempat amik rafts,

then naik lori lagi pergi tempat nak turunkan rafts.

Definitely a different experience than when I went water rafting dengan company Wave Raider.

But that is another post (kalau rajin)

Ok siap-siap dah amik rafts and pakai life jackets, helmets.

Kids were excited.

Abaikan la Ayah diorang yang always muka takde perasaan tu.

So gerak lagi pergi tempat nak start rafting.

Raiq almost fell out of the raft.

Razzan was scared after this rapid because he was soaked.

But still, oklah cos he didn't fell out.

I was the one who fell and it was an accident, not that the guide intend for it to happen.

But too bad, my fall wasn't captured on the camera!

Beza jugakla dengan Wave Raider dulu, gambar berlambak gila haha... tapi diorang guna kamera kitorang le pulak. Pakai iphone shira cos was the latest ip14 I think.

Well, that's all the videos we have.

Ada tempat-tempat untuk stop and rest/play.

Tapi kejap sangat, I think. Budak-budak tak puas main. Razzan especially, since he enjoyed playing with sand at the river bank. But it was a short stop.

Aku agak geram cos masa ni budak-budak tak tentu hala merayap and main, takde langsung gambar satu family. Haih

Then sambung sampai la end of the journey.

Pergi makan tengah hari then we went home. The other family ada amik cave exploration but I didn't plan for that. Bajet pun tak berapa ada (budak nak start sekolah) and akan amik masa lama pula nanti and they were kind of exhausted main air. Razzan fell asleep dalam lori masa on the way hantar rafts.

Anyway, insya Allah nanti kita repeat lagi kalau ada rezeki. Nanti join yang masuk gua pula. Siap pesan kat budak-budak, doakan la Mak Ayah murah rezeki... almaklum, anak ramai berdedai-dedai, jenuh jugak le nak membayor hahaha
